Mixed results for the table topping Billingham Stars this weekend saw them slip up at Telford in a 4 - 2 loss before returning to Teesside and bashing Solihull Barons 8 - 3 in a fiesty encounter. Stars maintain their 5 point lead but have lost their game in hand advantage to second placed Whitley Warriors

Billingham Stars face a tough weekend with a trip to Shropshire to face fourth placed Telford Titans followed by a Sunday night home game as they take on a strengthened Solihull Barons (face Off 18:30).

Billingham Stars Pod Cast No2

Billingham Stars are pleased to release Pod Cast No 2, featuring Stephen Fosters post match interview after the Tyne Tees Derby draw against Whitley Warriors, on the 22nd January 2012.It also features an interview with Billingham Ice Hockey club Director and Stars manager Allen Flavell, with feed back on the clubs progress since the merger of the Bombers and the Northern Stars.

Following a one all draw with local rivals the Whitley Warriors, Billingham coach Stephen Foster admitted a draw was an OK result for the Stars but felt that the Warriors would not have been happy with sharing the points as they fight to keep their league challenge alive.
