Ultimate Windows sponsored Billingham Stars

ULTIMATE WINDOWS-sponsored Billingham Stars are delighted to announce the return of an old favourite as Tom Brown takes up the role of Head Coach for this coming season.

No stranger to long-time Billingham fans, Brown returns to the Forum after an 18-year absence. Brown first joined up with the Bombers for their ill-fated BD1 1995-1996 season, before becoming an Eagle for four seasons during which time the Eagles won the English League Northern Conference twice. Known for his devastating slap shot, Brown acquired 390 points in just 134 regular season games for Billingham, holding third spot on the all-time goalscorers list.

A recent visit to a Stars BBQ with Director of Coaching Terry Ward

Having turned his hand to coaching some years ago, Brown has spent the last three seasons coaching in Canada both in Essa with the Eagles and also Assistant Coach for the Stayner Siskins, current PJHL (Provincial Junior Hockey League) Carruthers Division League Champions.

Brown is over the moon to be 'coming home' to a town he came to love two decades ago, and cannot wait to get started:

"I'm so excited to be coming home and getting a chance to coach the team I used to play for. I have heard lots of great things about the players and I'm looking forward to working with them and the club. Hopefully we can bring a championship to the best hockey fans in the UK!"

More will be revealed about the Stars full coaching staff over the coming weeks. Keep watching the website and social media for all the latest news.
