Ultimate Windows sponsored Billingham Stars

ULTIMATE WINDOWS-sponsored Billingham Stars tonight reveal the first of the squad's netminders tasked with filling the huge skates of the retired James Flavell… up-and-coming England star Thomas Brown.

Brown’s first season on Teesside last year was hamstrung somewhat by rules that meant that – despite being born here and playing for Whitley prior to joining up with the Stars – he was classed as an import and as such found his opportunities to play for the senior side limited. Fortunately those rules no longer apply in Brown’s case for the coming season, and as such he is free to fight for his spot in the team on a level playing field with the squad’s other goaltenders. Brown kept himself occupied with the Under-20s last season, helping them to become National Champions, as well as featuring in five senior Stars games.

Still only 18 years of age, we look forward to seeing how Brown develops. Brown tells us he is looking forward to getting underway and that he is hoping to contribute as much as possible. Welcome back home Thomas!

The Stars will be making more player announcements in the coming days and weeks, as well as news about our Juniors.
